| dc.description.abstract | In this study, which aims to evaluate the use of technology in building production, which is a multidimensional process, a 4-stage model algorithm was created: analysis-synthesis-evaluation-decision. The study was limited to the vertical building envelope. First the performance requirements and design criteria were determined by consulting expert opinions and as a result of the literature review. By performing an impact analysis with the Dematel method, the importance and relative importance weights of 9 main and 27 sub-design criteria were obtained. Then, with the building analysis table, the weighted performance scores of the determined structures were obtained. To research technology in buildings with determined performance scores, was filled for each determined building. A technology classification table was created that aims to classify the use of technology in the envelope according to facade type and applications. Then, the quality function deployment methodology was used. With two consecutive quality house matrices created, first the weights of the technologies then the facade types and applications according to the technologies were determined. The study systematically summarizes the selection of technology and fa & ccedil;ade type/application suitable for the targeted performance according to the importance weights of the determined criteria, through the established model, and aims to show the advantages of the technology. The consecutive matrix results show that the primary condition for architects to include technology in their designs is that it does not create cost overruns. As a result, thanks to this multi-dimensional study, it aims to guide the designer by evaluating the technologies used in the building envelope through applied examples. | en_US |
