| dc.description.abstract | Acoustic is one of the important elements of architectural design in structural systems. As it is known, the three main elements taken into consideration in design are to create a solid, esthetic, and functional structure. Acoustic affects the aesthetics as well as the functionality of the design. Considering the form of the structure and the materials used in it to obtain the right acoustic solutions, it is seen that it also affects the economy. During the architectural design process, the designer tries to take into account the comfort of the users while making spatial arrangements so that the structure can fulfill its function. During the design process, the structure's volumetric layout, furnishing and, material selection are of great importance in terms of ensuring functionality and comfort. Meeting the acoustic requirements in accordance with the purpose of the structure is also a part of this design process and becomes even more important, especially in spaces where performance takes place. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd.
