Tasarım ve Müzik İlişkisinin Mekândaki İzdüşümü

Abstract

Müzik sanatı ilk çağlardan itibaren insan hayatında önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. İnsan müziği belirli birsüre içinde algılar, dolayısıyla müzik zamansal bir sanattır. Bununla birlikte, sesin duyulabilmesi içiniletici ortama ihtiyaç olduğundan, mekânsaldır da denebilir. Müzik, zamansal ve mekânsal olmasınınyanında, biçimsel olarak da ele alınmaktadır. Deneysel çalışmalarda, müziğin görülebilir formlaroluşturduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Müziğin biçimselliği ise tasarım ve müzik ilişkisini ortaya çıkarmaktadır.Bu bağlamda araştırma, müziğin kavramsal olarak ele alınarak tasarım ürüne dönüştürülebileceğihipotezinden yola çıkılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma, tasarım sürecinde müziğin kavramsal çıkışnoktası olarak kullanılarak sonuç ürüne aktarılması ve bunun mekândaki yansımalarını incelemeyiamaçlamaktadır. Çalışma kapsamında, insan ve müzik ilişkisi, müziğin mekân, zaman ve uzamdakiyeri ile müziğin mekân içindeki etkisi konuları araştırılmıştır. Bu bağlamda, müziğin biçimsel yönüirdelenerek, tasarıma ve mekâna etkilerinin örneklerle birlikte incelenmesi yöntemi benimsenmiştir.Belirlenen araştırma sorusu dâhilinde müziğin tasarımda form oluşturma sürecinde bir kavram olarakkullanılabileceği ve yöntemlerin tasarımcıya bağlı olarak çeşitlenebildiği tespit edilmiştir.

Music has been an important part of human life from the early ages. One perceives music in a certain period of time, therefore music is a temporal art. It is also spatial, since a transmitting environment is needed for sound to be heard. Besides being temporal and spatial, music is also considered formally. In experimental studies, it has been observed that music has visible forms. The formalism of music reveals the relationship between design and music. In this context, the research was carried out on the basis of the hypothesis that music can be conceptually considered and converted into a design product. The aim of this study is to analyse the reflections of music in the space by using music as a conceptual starting point in the design process. In this study, the relationship between human and music, the place of music in space, time and extension and the effect of music in space were investigated. In this context, the formal aspect of music is examined and the method of examining the effects of design and space together with examples is adopted. Within the determined research question, it was found that music can be used as a concept in the form formation process in design and methods can be varied depending on the designer.
