Invitational Mimar Sinan University Korea-Turkey modern art exchange exhibition: oriental harmony: 10-15.08.2003, Yıldız Saray

Abstract

Place where the color of jade from the deep of Mimar Sea sprinkles with the beauty of sunset, creating the mysterious color. In Istanbul, which is the capital of a nation as well as the heart of a great empire with legends and myths, Korean and Turkish artists are going to meet to deepen another chapter of exchanges. In distance, both countries are unbelievably far from each other, but they are closely connected at heart. A theory says that Korea and Turkey belong to a culture of the "Altaic language family", and the Korean War, where Turkish soldiers showed their bravery and invaluable friendship, has long been remembered. It is high time that we shared the beautifully ripe fruit of arts in the cradle of such friendship. The glittering color of mysterious "Koryo Celadon" of Morning Calm, Korea, and the colors of mosque domes of Turkey, the nation of holy colors, are about to meet for satisfaction. Different nations with different cultures are gathering together under the same artistic ceiling, with the greatest spirits and eyes for the best works of art. I, personally, am so thrilled that artists from both countries have grown such dear fruit to share with each other in this place. I also hope that this connection and gathering will continue to flourish and put down its roots much deeper. Last but not least, I want to give special thanks to Dr. İsmet Vildan, the rector of Mimar Sinan University and Turkey Culture House, Mr. Park Yong-Duk, Head of the Korea-Turkey Culture Organization, and most of all, the 10 artists participating in this event. Thank you very much. Korea International Art Association Chairman Lee, Jin-Rock = Mimar Denizi'nin derinliklerinden gelen yeşim renginin gün batımının güzelliğiyle buluşarak gizemli bir renk oluşturduğu yer. Efsaneler ve mitlerle dolu büyük bir imparatorluğun kalbi olmasının yanı sıra bir ulusun başkenti olan İstanbul'da, Koreli ve Türk sanatçılar, kültürel alışverişin yeni bir bölümünü derinleştirmek üzere bir araya geliyor.

Fiziksel olarak her iki ülke birbirinden inanılmaz derecede uzak olsa da, kalpten bağlılar. Kore ve Türkiye'nin "Altay dil ailesi" kültürüne ait olduğu yönündeki bir teori ile, Türk askerlerinin cesaret ve paha biçilmez dostluk sergilediği Kore Savaşı, uzun süredir hatırlanmaktadır.

Böylesine bir dostluğun beşiğinde, sanatın olgun meyvesini paylaşmanın tam zamanı. Sabah Sükûneti ülkesi Kore'nin gizemli “Koryo Seladon”unun parıldayan rengiyle, kutsal renkler ülkesi Türkiye'nin cami kubbelerinin renkleri tatmin edici bir buluşmaya hazırlanıyor.

Farklı kültürlere sahip farklı milletler, en iyi sanat eserlerini görmek ve paylaşmak için aynı sanatsal çatı altında toplanıyor. Şahsen, her iki ülkeden sanatçıların burada birbirleriyle paylaşmak üzere bu kadar değerli bir meyve yetiştirmiş olmalarından son derece heyecanlıyım.

Ayrıca bu bağın ve buluşmanın gelişerek köklerinin daha da derinleşmesini diliyorum. Son olarak, Mimar Sinan Üniversitesi Rektörü ve Türkiye Kültür Evi'nden Dr. İsmet Vildan’a, Kore-Türkiye Kültür Organizasyonu Başkanı Sayın Park Yong-Duk’a ve en önemlisi bu etkinliğe katılan 10 sanatçıya özel teşekkürlerimi sunuyorum.
