Abstract
In this article, Abd & imacr;, one of the poets and writers of the late period Chagatai literature, on which no scientific study has been made before, and his work Farah-al-Kalb (1280/1863-64), which he wrote 160 years ago, are discussed. First of all, it is aimed to contribute to the recent Chagatai literature studies by focusing on the life, literary personality, works and manuscripts of Abd & imacr;, the author of this work, which was written in Chagatai Turkish. Secondly, the main philological features in Abd & imacr;'s Farah-al-Kalb are handled by classifying them in terms of phonetics, morphology and lexicon. Thus, new linguistic materials have been tried to be presented to the grammatical researches to be made on the Chagatai Turkish written language in the last period. In line with this scope and purpose, a manuscript copy of the aforementioned work in Arabic letters, registered in Saint Petersburg Russian Academy of Sciences Institute of Oriental Manuscripts B1015 (846a), was obtained and researches and examinations were carried out on it. Farah-al-Kalb, which has a religious-mystical content and where mystical concepts are used successfully, in this respect, is a continuation of the tradition of writing works with religious-mystical content in Central Asian Islamic Turkish writing languages. Therefore, in this tradition, in the historical geography of East Turkestan, where the work was written, it will also contribute to the studies on the history of thought of the period and the region
